Chicken Rice Casserole

Ingredients You'll Need
1/4 c chicken fat or butter
1/3 c flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 c chicken broth
1 1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c cooked wild rice
2 c cut-up cooked chicken
1 can (3 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 c chopped green pepper
2 tbsp chopped pimiento
1/4 c slivered almonds
Directions
heat oven 350
melt chicken fat in large saucepan over low heat
blend in flour, salt, and pepper
cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly
remove from heat, stir in broth and milk
heat to boiling, stirring constantly
boil and stir 1 min
stir in remaining ingredients
pour into non greased baking dish 10x 6x 1 1/2 in
bake uncovered for 40-45 min
sprinkle parsley, snipped
