Chocolate Candied Oranges

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup of water
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 oranges
Semi-sweet chocolate
Butter
Directions
Preheat your oven to 140 degrees celsius. To make the simple syrup, heat the water and the sugar in a pan until the mixture starts to boil. Then, reduce the heat so the mixture gently simmers. Thinly slice the oranges. Put them into the pan and let them soak for about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the heat shaking each slice to remove any excess syrup and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Bake for about 40 minutes and then place on a rack to cool. Meanwhile, melt equal parts of butter and chocolate. Make as much as you think necessary to dip all your orange slices. Once the chocolate mixture is smooth, dip each orange mid-way into the chocolate, shake to remove excess, and place to cool in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
