Chocolate Pecan Tart with Caramel Sauce

Ingredients You'll Need
For Crust:
2 c. pecan halves, toasted
1/2 c. sugar
2 T. butter, melted
Filling:
12 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
1/2 c. toasted pecans, finely chopped
Caramel topping:
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. heavy whipping cream

Directions
For crust, place pecans and sugar in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped; add butter and pulse to combine. Pour mixture into tart pan and bake in an oven preheated to 350F for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, remove from oven and set aside to cool. Meanwhile, combine chocolate chips and whipping cream in a bowl, microwave for 2 minutes at 50% power, stir, continue to microwave at 30 second intervals at 50% power until melted and smooth. Pour into pecan crust, and top with chopped pecans. Put in refrigerator to cool for 3 hours. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan, add sugar and bring to a boil; cook 10-12 minutes or until deep golden brown, stirring as needed. Slowly whisk in cream until blended. Remove from heat, cool before topping tart.
