Why I Love This Recipe

Ingredients You'll Need

4 cups milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup.flour OR
*(1/4 cup cornstarch)
1/4 to 1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Put milk in a saucepan to begin heating. Then mix and add sugar, cocoa and flour (*or cornstarch Mom said the cornstarch is easier to dissolve and it thicken faster than the flour );stir and cook until thickens. Add vanilla. This is very good on buttered biscuits or add butter to chocolate when it is put on plates

I have to profess that I have not ever made this wonderful gravy but I have sure enjoy the wonderful times that I have gotten to eat it.This was always a treat for our large family growing up. Mom would fix this with wonderful homemade biscuits .We make it at Christmas time for our Christmas breakfast when we all get together. wonderful memories!

Thanks for putting one of my favorite foods on!
Looking forward to Christmas morning just to eat a big plate of this with butter in the middle, and on top of a good 'ole biscuit.
