Citrus Glazed Salmon

Why I Love This Recipe
I've been trying to work healthier foods into our meals.... this is a yummy way to spice up plain salmon filets. Really easy too!
I served with steamed asparagus and crusty bread. Yummy!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 2lb. fresh salmon filet, skin removed
Salt and fresh ground black pepper
3/4 cup orange marmalade
2 green onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. dry white wine
1 tsp. grated ginger
1 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. five spice powder (I made my own... omitting the anise!)
3 T sliced almonds, toasted
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Rinse fish, pat dry.
Measure the thickest part of the fillet.
Season fish with salt and pepper.
Place in a shallow baking pan.
Set aside.
In a small bowl, stir together marmalade, onions, garlic, wine, ginger, mustard, cayenne, and five spice powder.
Spoon mixture over salmon.
Bake, uncovered, for 4 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Sprinkle with almonds before serving.
