Why I Love This Recipe
This is my most-requested recipe. It’s one I also requested—my in-laws make it for dinner on Christmas and it’s absolutely amazing.

Ingredients You'll Need
• 1 c. finely chopped onions
• 1 c. diced celery
• 2 c. diced potatoes
• 2 cans minced clams in juice
• ¾ c. butter
• ¾ c. flour
• 1 qt. cream or half-and-half
• ½ tsp. sugar
• 1 tsp. salt
• ½ tsp. pepper
Directions
Prepare veggies and place in a pot. Drain juice from clams into the veggies. Add enough water to just cover veggies. Cook until veggies are barely tender. Do not drain. In a separate pot, melt butter. Add flour and blend. Add cream and cook over medium heat until smooth and thick. Add sauce, clams, and seasoning to the veggies. Heat through.
