Why I Love This Recipe
This is a very old recipe that I have added and deleted ingredients to suit my taste and my families. These cookies are "to die for". They are that good.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 1/2 cups flour (I use pastry flour for a delicate taste)
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 /4 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 to 3 Butterfinger candy bars
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 F
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In a mixer bowl, cream the butter or margarine, peanut butter, brown sugar, and 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla
Beat in the Butterfinger candy bars
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients just until combined
Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls
Roll in the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
Place 3 inches apart onto 2 ungreased cookie sheets
With sugar coated tines of a fork, press and flatten each ball
Make a criss-cross pattern
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden
Cool on cookie sheets for 3 minutes
Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
