If you love the taste of a velvety coconut cream pie, you're in luck! This lovely, Coconut Cream Pie latte recipe is surprisingly light, undeniably tasty, and captures the essence of one of our favorite summer desserts.
Ingredients You'll Need
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
8 oz. coffee
1/2 coconut milk or regular milk or cream
(optional) whipped cream
(optional) toasted coconut flakes
Directions
Add the following to a 12-oz. mug:
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
Add 8oz. coffee to your mug and mix well. If you enjoy flavored coffee, try using Coconut Cream Pie coffee (available at thequeenbean.com)
Add 1/2 cup coconut milk to your mug.* If you are heating the milk, heat it until it is warm to the touch. You can also froth the milk before adding it to the coffee to create additional texture
Top with milk foam and / or whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes
