Ingredients You'll Need
Roll:
1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 pkg. active dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
5-6 c. flour
Filling:
2 lbs. ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup, blended
Sauce:
5 Tbsp. melted butter
4 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
salt and pepper for taste
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Directions
Heat milk. Stir in sugar, salt, and butter. Cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to milk mixture. Add 1/2 of the flour and mix with mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Knead well. Let rise until doubled in size.
Filling:
Brown ground beef, then add cream of mushroom (or chicken).
Roll out dough into a large rectangle. Evenly spread beef mixture onto dough, then roll up dough like cinnamon rolls. Cut one inch rolls and place them in a large pan. Bake at 350 degrees.
Sauce: Melt butter, add flour, and let bubble. Add milk with salt and pepper. Heat thoroughly. Add cheese.
When rolls are done baking, let cool for 5-10 minutes. Poor melted sauce on individual rolls, then serve quickly.
