Crab Dip With Crackers

"This never lasts more than ten minutes. It's that good"
Serves 10 | Prep Time 3 - 5 mins | Cook Time 18 - 25 minsWhy I Love This Recipe
Crab is my favorite seafood and this dip just "works!" The flavors marry perfectly, it's cozy food and frankly it won't last 5 minutes once someone starts digging into it. I've placed this on the table with a surround of different crackers, and not 3 minutes later a guest said "I wish you had some more of that stuff around, it's all gone!" Yes indeed, it will be.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 lb of fresh crab meat
8 ounce package of cream cheese
1/4 cup of mayo
1/4 cup of sour cream
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
3 green onions ( scallions) finely diced, greens included
Juice of half a lime
1 + 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon (or more) of red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
we start this by softening the cream cheese. take it out of the fridge and open it on the counter, let it sit for a while.
Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees
In an appropriate sized mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients EXCEPT the crab really well. You've got to work this pretty well. We want everything really well combined, and very smooth.
When you're happy with the consistency, FOLD in your crab meat. Try not to bust it up too much, but also do your best to get it as fully blended in as you can.
Move your mixture into an oven safe 9X13 or equivalent casserole dish and slide into the oven for about 20 minutes. Some ovens cook hot, so I would start watching at about 18 just to see how it looks. We're shooting for it to be heated all the way through, and gently bubbling.
When it's good and bubbly, remove from the oven and allow it to "set" for about 5 minutes
Pairs Well With
This is the ultimate comfort food. Use your imagination. You can use plain saltine crackers, you can use Ritz, you can use tortilla chips, blue corn chips, you name it.
