Cracker Jack Cookies

Why I Love This Recipe
These are the BEST cookies. When I was in HS, and yes, that was a loooooong time ago, I worked as a Nurses' Aide in the local nursing home. When the gals in the kitchen whipped up a batch of these, everyone, resident, visitors, employees, EVERYONE gravitated to the kitchen!! The aroma of these baking was sooooo heavenly!! Everyone wanted one fresh out of the oven and more often than not, they got one!! We had the best cooks working in that kitchen. Everything was homemade, not out of a can or a box. No matter when I make these or where I take them, I go armed with recipes to pass out!! They really are THAT GOOD!!
Enjoy!!
