Why I Love This Recipe

This is perfect for outdoor parties and has been a standard for our summer gatherings. My Mom has been making this for over 25 years and thinks she saw the recipe in a newspaper way back then. It has been tweaked through the years and now is a family favorite.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 lb. ground beef
2/3 cup tomato sauce
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 cup sliced pimento stuffed green olives
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
8 kaiser rolls
oregano (8 pinches)

Cook beef until brown and drain off fat.

Add in tomato sauce, salts, olives and cheese and mix. Let sit until cheese melts.

Slice rolls fill with meat mixture and sprinkle with crushed oregano.

Wrap in foil.

Set oven to 400 degrees or grill to low.

Bake in oven for 15 minutes or on grill until warmed through and bread is a little toasty.
