Why I Love This Recipe

Did you know that bananas are slightly radioactive? Don't worry, it's a minuscule amount, and you'd have to eat millions of bananas to experience any ill effects. This is because bananas contain small amounts of potassium-40, a naturally occurring radioactive isotope.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 ripe bananas, divided
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
1 cup ice cubes

In a blender, combine 2 bananas (broken into pieces), milk, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend until smooth.

Add ice cubes and blend until thick and frothy.

Slice the remaining banana and place a few slices in the bottom of each serving glass.

Pour the banana milkshake over the banana slices.

Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few more banana slices, if desired.

Serve immediately with a fun straw or spoon.

Pairs Well With

A tall glass of cold chocolate milk for an indulgent twist on a classic milkshake.
