Crescent Rolls Not From a Can
Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
3/4 cup warm water
2 pkg active dry yeast or 2 tbsp. bulk yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening or oil
4+ cups flour
Measure warm water and yeast into a mixing bowl, stirring to dissolve yeast.
Mix yeast mixture with other ingredients until smooth. Scrape dough from sides of bowl, cover.
Let rise until doubled. Shape into rolls.
Roll out a ball about the size of a baseball and cut into 6-8 pieces (like a pie).
Then roll from the wide end, place on greased pan, point underneath.
Let rise until doubled. Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes
