Why I Love This Recipe

My God Daughter and I make Christmas cookies every year. Before she even gets to my house, I start this in the crock pot.

It smells amazing when she arrives. So, we start right out with these little nuggets! It is a great way to start the holiday baking and they travel well. The crock pot roasts the peanuts and the flavors just melt in your mouth! Even my 80 year old father in law makes this recipe!!!!!!

Ingredients You'll Need

2 lbs dry-roasted peanuts, salted
4 squares German's sweet chocolate (4 oz total)
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz)
2 1/2 lbs white almond bark

Directions

To a 4 quart crock pot add peanuts. Layer both chocolates over the peanuts. Break up the almond bark and lay that on top of the chocolate. It will fill the crock pot. Put the lid on and cook LOW for 3 hours. Do NOT stir. And, do NOT cook longer than 3 hours. Ever!

Use two large cookie sheets and place small cupcake or candy liners on each sheet. You will use apx 40 per sheet.

After 3 hours use a heavy wooden spoon and mix till smooth. Using a small scoop drop candy into liners. Let cool completely. Store in a covered container in the frig for weeks!

Pairs Well With

Coffee. Period.
