Why I Love This Recipe

My husband loves meat and potatoes. So, this recipe is right up his alley. The first time I made it he said to me "why haven't we had this before?" You throw it in the crock pot before work and when you get home the house smells amazing. Shred the meat, add the bbq and wah-lah! Dinner time.


Ingredients You'll Need

2-3 lb pork roast
12 oz can root beer or Dr Pepper
18 oz bottle bbq sauce (your favorite)
8 buns


Directions

Place pork roast in crock pot.


Pour root beer or Dr Pepper over the pork.


Cover and cook on low 8 hours.


Gently shred the pork with a fork.


Let stand 15 minutes.


Drain the juice from the crock pot. Carefully...it's hot.


Add bbq sauce and simmer on low for 30 minutes.


Serve on toasted buns with cole slaw.


Pairs Well With

Cole Slaw or potato salad
