Why I Love This Recipe
My Danish sister-in-law brought new foods and recipes to our Dutch family. She is a wonderful cook and was happy to share this tasty recipe.

Ingredients You'll Need
Dough:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons water
Filling:
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon almond flavor
1 cup flour
3 eggs
Powdered Sugar Icing
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk or orange juice
Directions
Preheat over to 350.
Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter and 2 tablespoons water like pie dough.
Pat on cookie sheet in 2-12x3 inch rolls.
Bring 1 cup water to boil.
Add 1/2 cup butter and 1 tsp almond flavor.
Boil, remove from heat and add 1 cup flour all at once.
Beat until smooth.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat after each egg until smooth.
Spread over dough.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Cool.
Frost with powdered sugar icing:
In a small bowl combine powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
Stir in additional milk or juice,1 teaspoon at a time, until it reached drizzling consistency.
Makes 1/2 cup.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
Best if eaten the same day as baked.
