Death by Chocolate Cake

Why I Love This Recipe
This is a wonderful cake to take to a gathering. It tastes so good it won't last long, but is easier to transport than a layered cake.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 pkg of Grandmas GF Chocolate Cake Mix (or GF chocolate cake mix of your choice) including ingredients called for on the package to make the cake.
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. butter, softened
2 1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
2 t. vanilla extract
pinch of kosher salt
1/4 c. heavy cream (more as needed)
chocolate shavings for garnish
Bake cake in a 9"X13" pan according to package directions. Remove cake from oven and cool completely. Poke cake all over with a dowel or handle of a wooden spoon. In a bowl combine chocolate chips and condensed milk, microwave for 2 minutes at 50% power, stir, continue microwaving at 30 second intervals at 50% power until melted and smooth. Pour mixture into holes all over cake. Make frosting, in the bowl of a stand mixer, cream butter; gradually add confectioner's sugar, cocoa, vanilla, salt, and cream until mixture is smooth and spreadable. Spread frosting over top of cake and garnish with chocolate shavings.
