Why I Love This Recipe

Peanuts are not nuts, they are actually legumes! They grow underground and are an excellent source of protein and healthy fats.


Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/2 cups raw peanuts
1 cup dates, pitted
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt


Directions

In a food processor, pulse the raw peanuts until finely ground.


Add the dates, cacao powder, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the food processor.


Process the mixture until it comes together and forms a dough-like consistency.


Press the mixture into a pie pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly to form the crust.


Place the pie crust in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.


Pairs Well With

This decadent raw pie pairs beautifully with a glass of chilled almond milk or a scoop of dairy-free vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert experience.
