Why I Love This Recipe

This is nice hardy dish thats simple yet full of flavour and easily modified

Ingredients You'll Need

600g pork sausages
1 tbs canola oil
1 garlic clove crushed
2 onions thinly sliced
1 green apple thinly sliced
400g canned chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs malt vinegar
1 cup water


Pan-fry sausages until browned and just cooked. Remove and cool slightly then chop into pieces and set aside.

Heat oil in the same frying pan you cooked sausages in and fry garlic, onions and apple until soft.

Mix together remaining ingredients togeather in a jug, add sausages back into the pan with the apple and onion mix and pour over the sauce mix then simmer untill thickens slightly.

Pairs Well With

I like serving this with mashed potatos and some veggies and some times i add some sultanas or the veggies to the sauce mix
