Dirty Rice

Why I Love This Recipe
This is a recipe from my daughter. It's one of those good "go to" recipes...always quick, easy and delicious!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 cups beef broth
2 cups water
2 cups rice
1 lb. ground hamburger
1 lb. linguica or chorico, sliced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 medium onion - diced
4 cloves garlic - diced
1 tsp dried Thyme
Cayenne, ¼ teaspoon
1 teaspoon Chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Cook rice in beef broth and water.
While rice cooks, sauté hamburger with a little olive oil if needed.
When hamburger is cooked, add the sliced linguica or chorico, and brown up a bit.
Add the diced peppers and onions for about 5 minutes.
Once those are mostly cooked through, add the diced garlic. Season with the salt, pepper, thyme, cayenne and chili powder.
Mix in the rice and stir until everything is combined.
Let this sit on low for about 10 minutes so the flavors mix and mingle.
Serve and enjoy.
