Donairs

Why I Love This Recipe
We were stationned in Germany and a friend said she could make Donairs and shared the recipe with me. Since then I have shared this recipe with all of my friends...
Ingredients You'll Need
5 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1 1/2 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper or Red Pepper powder
1 cup bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. Paprika
2 Tbsp. Onion Powder
2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Salt
Directions
Mix all ingredients together very well (Mixture will appear dry).
Shape into 2 loaves firmly packed.
Place on broiler pan covered with tin foil.
Bake @ 300, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Refrigerate for 12 hours or over night before slicing.
To serve, slice meat very thinly and place on a pita bread topped with onion, tomato, lettuce and sauce.
