Double Chocolate Cookies

Why I Love This Recipe
These very chocolatey, chewy cookies are a favorite with my young nephews and nieces. When they come to visit we make them together and they have so much fun, just make sure you use an over-sized bowl so the ingredients don't go flying, the boys seem to be overly enthusiastic about stirring. LOL
Ingredients You'll Need
1-1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cups baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 F. for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Yield: about 9 dozen.
