Dried Apple Icing

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1 qt. dried apples
2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. powdered allspice
Directions
Put dried apples and water in large pan; they will expand when moist.
Cook at low heat until soft, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
More water may be needed to keep apples from scorching, stir frequently.
Mash cooked apples with a potato masher until pieces are no more than 1/2-inch size.
Add more water, if needed, to thin apples enough to spread like icing.
Add sugar and all-spice.
You may adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.
