Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe is from the son of a good friend. The son, a Chef, was asked for a recipe for "fall off the bones" ribs. It's flavorful without being too spicy but can be modified to suit different tastes.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 or 2 racks of baby back pork ribs, thawed

8 Tablespoons brown sugar
3 Tablespoons salt
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Directions

Combine seasonings in bowl and mix thoroughly.

Place each rack on heavy duty aluminum foil in a metal baking pan and apply rub to each side, beginning with the concave, ending with the convex side up.

Cover with foil, crimping top and bottom foil so the ribs will cook in their juices without any leakage into the pan.

Place pan with wrapped ribs in the refrigerator to marinate overnight or at least several hours.

Bake foil-wrapped ribs on middle shelf in oven or covered grill at 300 degrees for 3 hours; 4 to 5 is best.
