Easy Boston Cream Pie

Ingredients You'll Need
1 5 oz. package vanilla (or banana cream) pudding and pie filling
2 1/3 c. milk
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 T. butter
1/2 c. prepared instant whipped topping or frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 baked cooled 8 or 9 inch yellow layer cake
Directions
Combine pudding mix and milk in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat. Combine 1 cup of the hot pudding with chocolate and butter, stirring until melted. Cover surface of each pudding with wax paper (or plastic wrap)
Chill. Beat plain pudding until smooth; blend in whipped topping. Split cake into 2 layers. Place 1 layer on serving plate; spread with plain pudding mixture. Top with other cake layer. Beat chocolate pudding until smooth and spread over top of cake. Chill 1 hour.
