Why I Love This Recipe

My husband loves custard pies and had a recipe I used for years that I practically knew by heart. I eventually ended up misplacing it so went on line and found this recipe on Cooks.com. This is so easy to make and soooo good! I edited the recipe a little using Egg Beaters and 1/2 cup Splenda for the sugar, but it came out great.

It starting browning a little early so placed a square of foil over the top so it didn't get too dark. Worked fine. Would recommend this highly! Makes it's own bottom crust. Wanted to put this recipe here so I'd know where it was the next time I wanted to make it!

Ingredients You'll Need

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. coconut

Directions

Mix all ingredients and blend well. Pour into a 9 inch

unbaked pie shell. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees or

until crust is brown and custard is firm.
