Everybody loves Raymond's Braciole ~ Italian

Why I Love This Recipe
I am not sure if this is the "official" recipe on the show everybody loves raymond or not, I have never made this recipe, but that is the name of it. Enjoy!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 pound beef, sliced very thin
12 cups bread crumbs
1/4 pound Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup fresh basil (or to taste)
1 1/2 cup canned tomatoes (or use fresh)
3/4 cup tomato paste
Directions
Cut the beef into very thin slices, place between 2 pieces of waxed paper and pound thin. Sprinkle with bread crumbs, grated cheese, basil, rolled and secured with toothpicks.
Brown the braciole. It is then put in a pot with canned tomatoes and tomato paste.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer, turning the rolls occasionally, until the beef is tender when pierced with a knife, about 2 hours. Check from time to time to see if the sauce is becoming too dry; add a little water if needed.
