Why I Love This Recipe

Margaritas are one of the most popular cocktails in the world and have their roots in Mexican culture.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 cups of frozen peach slices
1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves, tightly packed
1 cup of tequila
1/4 cup of triple sec
1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup of simple syrup, divided
Salt for rimming the glasses (optional)
Ice cubes (optional if smoother texture is desired)

Directions

Prepare the glasses by rimming them with salt if desired: rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glasses and dip them into a plate of salt.

In a blender, combine the frozen peaches, basil, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and half of the simple syrup.

Blend until smooth, adding a few ice cubes if the texture is too thin or if a frostier drink is desired.

Taste and adjust the sweetness with the remaining simple syrup, blending again to incorporate.

Pour the margaritas into the prepared glasses and garnish with a sprig of fresh basil or a slice of peach if desired.

Pairs Well With

Spicy chips and guacamole for a perfect blend of flavors or a fruit-forward sparkling water for added refreshment.
