Why I Love This Recipe

We purchase whole pork loins from the grocery at an economical price, which can then be cut into roasts, chops, and kebabs. We particularly enjoy this recipe in the summer on the grill when we have all the fresh herbs in our garden. Very tasty.

Ingredients You'll Need

3-4 lb. boneless center cut pork loin roast
2 T. olive oil
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
1 T; freshly ground sea salt
1 t. freshly ground black pepper
1 T. fresh sage, minced
1 T. fresh rosemary, chopped
1 T. fresh thyme, chopped


Use the blender to make the herb paste by putting the olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper, and herbs in the blend and blend to a paste. Remove pork loin roast from the fridge 30 minutes before grilling. Rub it all over with the herb paste and set aside. If roasting in the oven, put the roast in a shallow roasting pan. Roast in an oven preheated to 450F for 20 minutes, reduce heat to 300 and finish roasting an additional 40 minutes or until instant meat thermometer reads 145F. Rest 10 minutes before slicing to serve. If you are grilling the pork loin, put in a foil pan and put it on a grill preheated to 500F, then turn off the burner on one side. Grill the roast on the lighted side, turning often for10-15 minutes to sear. Then remove to unlighted side of the grill, turn down the heat if needed to maintain grill temp of 300F and finish grilling for about 30-40 minute or until instant thermometer reads 145F. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
