Why I Love This Recipe
My husband's favorite chicken dish. Its good with rice, potatoes and just about anything else. I havent tried it on pasta because it doesn't make much sauce. Its easy to spice up too if you like that you can add some crushed peppers or pepper flakes and it doesnt mess up the flavor, just remember to add it towards the end or just in the sauce so it doesn't over power the garlic.
Ingredients You'll Need
6-8 cloves garlic crushed in press (or chopped up really really really well)
3-4 chicken breasts or 6-8 tenders
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch (or 2tbspn flour)
about 1 cup water or chicken broth if you have it.
in pan heat oil, butter and crushed garlic until oil is warm and butter is melted. Add in Chicken and spices.
Brown Chicken on both sides
Add in the water and cook on med until most of the water is gone or chicken is done. Sometimes you need to add more water
Remove chicken from pan
Add cornstarch/flour to broth/water
Put in the pan and cook until thickened
Add chicken back to pan
