Why I Love This Recipe

This is my comfort food... When I was a kid my mom would cook this when i got home from school or if im not feeling well... This is a Filipino dish which you can served too with a hot fluffy rice..

Ingredients You'll Need

3-4 clives of garlic, crushed
30 g. ginger, peeled and diced into rounds
1kg.{2 lb.} whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 1/2 liters {6 cups}water
200 g.{7oz.} raw papaya, peeled and cut into serving pieces
2 sauce
1 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 cup spinach or watercress

Heat oil in a casserole and saute garlic for 1 minute.

Add ginger and chicken and brown chicken lightly, then pour in the water.

Simmer chicken until almost tender, about 20 minutes.

Allow to simmer over medium heat until chicken is fully cooked and papaya is tender, about 10 more minutes.
