Why I Love This Recipe

Ingredients You'll Need

1 tablespoon canola oil
4 cups 1-1/2 inch pieces fresh green beans
2 tablespoons water
1 medium-large yellow onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 tablespoons light teriyaki sauce

Directions

Place the oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add the green beans and water and place over medium heat. Cover and cook for 4 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally. Add the onions, cover, and cook for an additional 4 minutes, until the green beans are tender and the onions are lightly browned. Add a little more water during cooking if needed, but only enough to prevent scorching. Add the ginger, garlic, and teriyaki sauce. Cover and cook over low heat for 1-2 min to blend the flavors. If necessary, cook uncovered for a minute or two to evaporate any excess liquid. Serve hot.
