Ingredients You'll Need
¾ cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup molasses
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
Additional sugar
Directions
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly cream together margarine and sugar.
Add egg and molasses; beat well.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Chill.
Form into walnut-sized balls and dip into additional sugar.
Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 350° for 12-14 minutes.
Let cookies stand on sheet until they crack, then remove to cool.
