Why I Love This Recipe

Ingredients You'll Need

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 cans (1 lb. 1 oz. each) pear halves, drained
12 preserved kumquats
3 medium bananas
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 lb. green grapes, washed and divided into clusters

Directions

In a large skillet combine butter, sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Place pear halves and kumquats in a single layer in the skillet and cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Turn pear halves and cook 3 minutes longer or just until glazed. Remove pear halves and kumquats from skillet and keep warm. Peel bananas, cut in half lengthwise, then in half again. Sprinkle with lemon juice. In same pan, sauté banana halves, turning once, for 3 to 5 minutes
