Why I Love This Recipe

Made by the gallons and served at our graduation parties. There was never a pickle left.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 qt whole dill pickles (cheap ones are good!)
1/2 c water
2 c sugar
1/2 c vinegar

Directions

Drain juice off pickles and put them in a glass bowl. Pour boiling water over them and let cool. Drain again. Cut stem ends off and cut the spears into fourths the long way. Put pickles back in the jar. Boil sugar, water and vinegar. Pour over split pickles. Refrigerate 3-4 days before eating. They keep in refrigerator for several months. Recipe doubles, triples, or quadruples very easily.
