Why I Love This Recipe

My wife's grandmother, Ruth Kean, lived to be 103 years old. Her cooking was a source of joy for all of us. This is one of her recipes that she handed down to my wife Allison, complete on a handwritten index card.

Ingredients You'll Need

Half pound medium noodles, like egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
3/4 cup sugar
Teaspoon vanilla
1/2 stick of sweet butter, melted
1/2 cup white raisins

Topping:
Three eggs, beaten
Half cup milk
1/4 cup corn flake crumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°.

Boil noodles in salted water for eight minutes. Drain. Add half of the melted butter into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients plus the other half of the butter. Pour into baking dish.

Beat eggs with milk. Pour egg/milk mixture onto top of noodles. Sprinkle corn flakes on top. Bake for one hour.
