Green Banana Soup
Why I Love This Recipe
This recipe has been cooked in my family for around 3 generations, my grandmother teach us how to prepare. This dish used to cook on cold days because it can gives you that warm that the body needs during that days, this preparation is for 4 people.

Ingredients You'll Need
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
1 turnip, peeled and chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
½ cup of zucchini chopped
1 ½ teaspoons salt (more or less, to taste)
1 teaspoon chopped fresh celery (more or less)
1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
½ Red pepper cubed
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
dash black pepper
pinch of cumin
4 cups of water (more or less)
200 gr (1/2 lb) of sliced jerky
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 green bananas, peeled and smashed
In a pot put the water and wait it to have it boiled add the meat and the jerky.
In a pan heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin and the rest of the vegetables and saute until softened and lightly golden, about 5 to 8 minutes.
Add into the crockpot along with potatoes. Cook for 15 minutes on low add green bananas and replace lid and set on low for another 15 minutes (until potatoes are cooked)
