Green Salad with Spiced Walnuts

Ingredients You'll Need
Walnuts:
2 Teaspoons sugar
1 Teaspoon canola oil
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon cumin
1 Cup shelled walnut halves, toasted
Salad:
3 Tablespoons olive oil
3 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 Teaspoons grated orange zest
2 Tablespoons orange juice
Salt and pepper
1 large head red leaf lettuce
2 celery ribs, thinly sliced
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
Directions
Whisk sugar, olive oil, 2 tablespoon water, salt, cinnamon and cumin in a heated skillet. Add walnuts and toss to coat. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until nuts are crisp and slightly glazed, about 3 minutes. Whisk olive oil, vinegar, orange zest and juice in a large bowl then season with salt and pepper. Tear lettuce into large pieces and pile on top. Add celery and apple and toss. Top with walnuts and serve.
