A staple of Mulayne warriors, Guardian’s Fire Stew is a bold, fortifying dish crafted to sustain both strength and resilience before battle. Warrior’s Root Chunks provide a rich, earthy depth, while Charred Skymeat infuses the broth with smoky, robust flavor. Veilwood Mushrooms add umami complexity, merging seamlessly with the golden warmth of Aether-Broth. Slow-simmered to thick perfection, this stew is more than sustenance—it is a ritual of preparation, a grounding force before the storm, ensuring warriors stand unshaken in the face of fate.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 cups Warrior's Root Chunks (Butternut squash + 1.5 tbsp cumin), cubed
1 cup Charred Skymeat (Smoked beef brisket or seared tofu), shredded
4 cups Aether-Broth (Bone broth + turmeric)
2 Veilwood cloves (Black garlic), minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon cooking oil
Directions
Prepare the Warrior's Root Chunks by peeling, cubing, and lightly seasoning with cumin.
Heat a pot over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
Sear the Charred Skymeat pieces briefly until golden and slightly crisp. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add the minced Veilwood (Black garlic) and sauté until aromatic, about 1 minute.
Add the Aether-Broth (Bone broth + turmeric) and stir well.
Introduce the cubed Warrior's Root Chunks to the pot and gently simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
Add the seared Charred Skymeat to the pot and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
Serve hot in bowls, garnished with a sprinkle of finely minced Veilwood for a touch of flavor.
