Why I Love This Recipe
These are a nostalgic dish that my mother used to make for parties, and everyone who grew up in the 90's remembers these gems from someone's tailgate. Warm, melty, and sinfully buttery these were the one item that always tends to disappear at parties. Whether celebrating at a family gathering or as a tag-a-long for a house party these are perfectly soft and gentle on your brackets. (*** make sure to brush after eating, those poppy seeds get everywhere even without braces).
Ingredients You'll Need
24 Slider Rolls ( Hawaiian Sweet Rolls)
24 Slices of Deli-Sliced Honey Ham
24 Slices of Swiss Cheese
1 1/2 Tbsp. Yellow Mustard
8 Tbsp. Melted Butter
1 Tbsp. Finely Minced Onion (or 2 Tbsp. Dried Minced Onion)
1/2 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
Poppy Seeds for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Split slider rolls and spread insides lightly with mayonnaise and fold a slice of ham to fit on each bun and top with a slice of swiss cheese.
Replace the top buns and reassemble sandwiches and place in a deep sided baking pan.
To make the sauce, combine all ingredients except poppy seeds in a separate small bowl and whisk together.
Drizzle the sauce over the top of the slider buns and sprinkle with the poppy seeds.
Cover with foil and bake for 10 mins. until cheese is melted.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 2 min. and serve warm.
