My mother used to make this all the time for us to have on sandwiches as kids.
Ingredients You'll Need
6 pounds hamburger
6 teaspoons Morton Tender Quick, rounded
2 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
2 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 1/2 teaspoons coarse ground pepper
1 teaspoon smoked hickory salt
Mix well in large bowl, cover well and place in refrigerator. On day number two; mix well, cover well and place in refrigerator. On day number three; mix well, divide in six equal parts and form in logs. Place on broiler rack in oven on lower shelf. Bake at 140° for 8 hours. Wipe off excess grease and wrap and freeze if not used right away. Turn once or twice while baking.
