Holiday Nut Bread
Why I Love This Recipe
I made these into smaller loaves and gave them to a few of my co-workers for Christmas. They were pleasantly surprised! I found this recipe on the mincemeat package. Note: if you make smaller loaves the baking time would be reduced.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 package NONE SUCH® Condensed Mincemeat (9-ounce) crumbled
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Place rack in lowest oven position. Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in eggs.
Add milk and flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in NONE SUCH® and nuts.
Turn into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cool. Store tightly wrapped.
