Homemade Graham Crackers

Why I Love This Recipe
Top with frosting or eat plain
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whole wheat graham flour (We used Hudgson Mill brand from Walmart)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk + 2 tbl.
Directions
In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar together; stir in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
Cover dough and chill until firm (about an hour).
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8 thickness; cut into rectangles.
Place each cracker 1/2 inch apart on greased baking sheets (or onto a baking stone).
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden.
Remove crackers from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
