Ingredients You'll Need
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
1 lb Ground Pork
2 Tbsp Heinz 57 Sauce
1 Tbsp Steak Sauce or A1
1/2 to 3/4 tsp Hickory Liquid Smoke
1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
Hamburger Buns
Cheese and Toppings of Choice
Directions
*Combine all hamburger ingredients and combine with hands - trying to not over blend or makes hamburgers tougher
*Place wax paper on plate and make into patties that are about the size of your hand and fairly thin (they puff up when cooked); push your thumb slightly in the middle of patty; layer wax paper on top of patties if you are making more than fit on one layer of the plate; refrigerate until grill is ready
*Preheat grill then turn to medium heat; sprinkle patties with black pepper and place patties on grill; when liquids are all on top of patty, flip and cook other side
*Once patties are cooked to desired; turn off heat and place cheese of choice on burgers; place buns on grill to toast while cheese melts
*Serve with desired toppings
Recipe Tips
*If omitting pork, use less lean beef
*Try variations such as adding bacon and/or cheese to mixture or stuffing middle with bacon and/or cheese
*For spicier burgers, add 1 tsp ground red pepper to the mixture
