Why I Love This Recipe

The summer sausage can be frozen or refrigerated for 3-4 weeks. Enjoy!


Ingredients You'll Need

2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t mustard seed
1/2 t course ground black pepper
3 T Morton tender quick salt (do not substitute, this is a meat curing salt)


Directions

Mix ingredients well. Roll meat into the size of sausage rolls you prefer. Put rolls in aluminum foil and refrigerate 24 hours.


Boil meat in water (in foil) for one hour. After boiling, cool enough to handle and replace foil with new. This releases any water left from boiling.


Pairs Well With

Bread or crackers.
