i ran out of brown sugar, so decided to make my own. i did look around the internet to see recipes. but finally just ended mixing molasses with white sugar to a light brown color. however wanted to post the average internet ratio

1 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons molasses
DO NOT USE BLACKSTRAP

make sure you mix well with fork or food processor- or like myself using my hands
