Why I Love This Recipe

From a kid's cookbook


Ingredients You'll Need

1 clove garlic
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup tahini
1 Tbsp olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons
2 rounds pita bread
carrots


Directions

Peel and slice garlic


Place chickpeas, garlic, salt, and water in a blender and blend for 1 minute. Scrape down sides of blender and blend again. Add tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and blend another minute.


Scrape the sides of the blender and pour into a serving bowl.


Serve with pita wedges and carrots.
