"Originating from Palestine, this Arab dish is enjoyed by people from all over the world! I can confidently say that a meal in my home is never served without hummus as an appetizer, side dish, or a snack. It is so versatile and in my opinion, tastes best when made by my mama!" -Sally K.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 can of chickpeas
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 clove of garlic
Salt
5-8 pieces of ice
Directions
Puree chickpeas in the food processor until they become powder-like.
Add remaining of the ingredients for 4-5 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides from time to time.
If hummus is looking grainy, add an ice cubes, 2 at a time, to help smoothen out the mixture until your desired texture.
Serve in a bowl, and garnish with olive oil and parsley. Serve alongside pita bread, crackers, veggies, and more!
