Ila's Waffles

Why I Love This Recipe
This is a recipe from my mom which she got from my great grandmother and modified...This is her story
After I graduated from high school, Gil and I stopped sneaking around and finally started going to public places together. (I was 17, and he was 23. Now that we have two teenage daughters, we better understand why we had to sneak!) Gail made these waffles for dinner one Saturday night, and they continue to be a weekend tradition in our home. Ila was a lovely lady and a good cook. I’ve reduced the fat a bit, but they are still wonderfully rich.
